That depends on the periodicity of your chart or data. In other words, what timeframe are you working with, primarily? Generally, pivots are recalculated daily using the previous day's high (H), low (L) and close (C), but they can also be calculated hourly, weekly, etc. Because H, L, and C change each day, the pivots move as well.
What instrument (e.g. stocks, forex) are you trading?
There are some great pivot point calculators around, and often charting software includes pivot point overlays.
